The Works A Mixed-Use Redevelopment Initiative

The Works A Mixed-Use Redevelopment Initiative

The Works is an early-stage redevelopment project rooted in a straightforward idea: that underutilized infrastructure can become something a community actually wants and uses. Not just filled, but genuinely transformed into a space that holds housing, creative use, and a social environment worth being in.

Central Pennsylvania has no shortage of buildings that have outlived their original purpose. What it has less of is thoughtful redevelopment that takes those structures seriously, asks what the surrounding community actually needs, and builds toward that instead of just building toward occupancy. The Works is an attempt to do the harder thing.

Approach

Adaptive Reuse — Existing structures first. Transformation over demolition where it makes sense.

Community-Focused Design — Spaces that feel intentional and accessible to the people who will actually use them.

Mixed-Use Balance — Housing, creative space, and social infrastructure integrated in a way that supports long-term sustainability rather than competing for the same footprint.

Quality Over Scale — Thoughtful over fast. The experience matters more than the timeline.

Where We Are

The work happening right now is the kind that does not always make for a clean announcement: site planning, feasibility, the groundwork that determines whether a project like this actually holds up. We are doing it carefully.

The vision is intact, the planning is active, and the project is moving forward with the long-term character of Central Pennsylvania in mind. Details will be made public as milestones are reached.

In the meantime, there is a way to stay close to it.

Be Part of It Early

We are inviting a limited number of people to follow The Works from the ground up. Early supporters receive updates before they are public, insight into how the project is taking shape, and access to future opportunities connected to the space as they become available.

This is not a waitlist. It is something closer to a seat at the table during the part of the process most people never see.

The Founders Club

In towns like this one, great nights out used to start in rooms with stories on the walls.

For generations, evenings in communities like ours were defined by big rooms, live bands, and families getting dressed up to be somewhere that felt both special and local. Over time, that kind of place mostly disappeared. There are plenty of places to grab a drink, but not many that feel like they belong to the town's story.

This project gives us a once-only chance to change that.

By bringing that spirit back inside a historic landmark, we're not just opening a venue. We're creating an elevated, everyday "happy hour into evening" club where live music, black-and-white films, and proper hospitality are framed by a piece of the region's industrial history. It's meant to feel like the kind of place families talk about years from now: "your grandfather had a table here," "this is where your parents went on Thursdays."

Founders' commitments are what turn that idea into a room you can walk into. Early backing lets us secure the space, move faster on design, engineering, and construction, and lock in the level of craftsmanship a place like this deserves. Once the doors open, people will not be able to join this way. This is how your name becomes part of the building and the story around it.

Global Founder Benefit

Every Founder, at every level, receives access to a dedicated Founders reservation line for direct bookings, special requests, and priority handling.

Founders' commitments are what turn that idea into a room you can walk into. Early backing lets us secure the space, move faster on design, engineering, and construction, and lock in the level of craftsmanship a place like this deserves. These are serious commitments, offered in a very limited founding window. Once the doors open, people will not be able to join this way. This is how your name becomes part of the building and the story around it.
